On January 31, Riley Neumann and Mathew Sleeva, Canora volunteer firefighters, visited the Canora Kidspace daycare to teach the children about fire safety and the work of firefighters.
This is part of the daycare facility’s Community Workers and Transportation theme for January and February.
Carmen Born, director, said this theme is important for teaching the children about Canora.
“They will be going on field trips in the community to see how important it is to have people helping us in Canora. We are also learning about what we want to be when we grow up.â€
Planned field trip destinations include the post office, the RCMP, the Crossroads Credit Union and the Gateway Co-op grocery store.
