The Crossroads Credit Union presented a cheque to Ross Fisher of The Health Foundation in the amount of $2,000 on June 20, said Leanne Woloshyn, corporate services assistant at the Crossroads Credit Union.
The funds will be used to help babies that are born at risk in the Yorkton Regional Hospital.
Basic equipment will be purchased to enable the medical staff to better attend the needs of children born with complications, said Woloshyn, including infant resuscitation equipment, infant ventilators, infant warmers and fetal heart monitors.
The Crossroads Community Investment Fund is to assist non-profit organizations, with the goal of providing our communities with a strong foundation to build upon.
In 2017, a total of $25,000 has been awarded to 17 non-profit organizations from the investment fund.
