Over the past 10 years, the Canora Wheatland Lioness Club has made close to $25,000 in donations to a number of worthy health care related causes, said Darlene Senkow, Lioness representative.
The group continued that tradition on May 2 at the Canora Hospital with the presentation of a cheque for $4,000 to Ross Fisher of the Health Foundation. The funds are going toward the purchase of an ICU heart monitor.
The next fundraising event is the Canora Wheatland Lioness Club Ladies night, coming up on May 27 at the Rainbow Hall.
Supper will be followed by a fashion show and entertainment by Jamie James, hypnotist.
Funds raised from this project are being allocated to Canora Hospital Auxiliary, Gateway Lodge Auxiliary, Benevolent Fund and Canora Legion.
Tickets may be purchased from any Lioness member.
