An attempt to unionize Tim Hortons workers in Canora is underway and the parties involved are dealing with an unfair labour practice complaint.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The workers at the coffee and doughnut shop, located on Main Street, are employed by Amenity Health Care.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An organizer of the union involved, Workers United Canada Council, said 14 workers were employed at the Canora outlet when the application to unionize was filed in June 2017.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Amenity has previously alleged that the union has engaged in unfair labour practices during the unionization drive, but Workers United denied the allegation, stating that 鈥渢here has been no coercion or intimidation鈥 and that 鈥渨orkers initially contacted Workers United to begin the process.鈥
