That annual pre-Halloween bash put on by the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute graduating class, which is a great opportunity for everyone to try out their costumes and makeup, is being held tonight (Thursday).
Sport Night is the theme of the KCI Grad 2017 Fun Night, which this year will feature a canteen.
Fun Night is the one main fundraiser held to help pay for the graduates’ academic ceremony, said Laurissa Fedorchuk, who is a member of the graduating class. It will go for such expenditures as the rent of graduation caps and gowns.
For Fun Night, everyone, particularly youngsters, are invited to the school where they will be able to purchase tickets and then use those tickets to play a variety of games or be involved in various activities, Fedorchuk explained. This year persons attending will be able to visit a fish pond, use their skills at throwing at the dunk tank; visit a haunted house, which is a project of the Grade 7 class; decorate cupcakes; play in a bouncy castle, and participate in a number of guessing games including “Was that Pepsi or Coke?â€
At Fun Night there is something for everyone, the young and the not-so-young, she said, encouraging everyone to show up wearing their Halloween costumes.
The funds raised are added to donations received from members of the community, some of which have donated prizes for the event’s raffle.Â
