The Yorkton Girl Guides Santa's Little Helpers Christmas Shopping Extravaganza was held at Sacred Heart High School in the city Sunday. The event included face painting, raffles, popcorn and candy floss, as well as various vendors with a range of possible gift ideas.
For those with a cookie craving, St. Andrews United Church was the place to be Saturday as the annual Christmas Cookie Walk was held. There was a full house of customers as soon as the doors opened, all eager to fill pails with tasty goodies for the upcoming holiday season.
The St. Mary's U.C.W.L.C. Christmas Bale Sale was held at St. Mary's Cultural Centre Saturday, with people lined up waiting the 1 p.m. opening. Popular among patrons were frozen cabbage rolls, and perogies, as well as jars of borchst, along with a variety of baked goods.
The first Artisan Christmas was held Saturday at Yorkdale Central School in the city. The show was an event highlighting handmade and handcrafted items from artisans from the local region. Net proceeds were to go to the school for their initiatives.
