Education Minister Don Morgan has proclaimed the week of February 8 - 14, 2015, as Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week to celebrate the remarkable education professionals in Saskatchewan.
鈥淭eachers and school staff play an incredible role in ensuring that the needs of students are put first each and every day,鈥� Morgan said. 鈥淭eacher/Staff Appreciation Week will encourage all Saskatchewan residents to recognize the extraordinary work that happens in our schools and to acknowledge the education professionals who contribute to our province in such an important way.鈥�
For 27 years, Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week has been celebrated across Canada as a way to highlight the work of teachers and school staff.
The theme for 2015 is 鈥淟earning Together for the 21st Century鈥� and will recognize the remarkable education professionals who are dedicated to ensuring that all students have the skills they need to be successful in the constantly changing landscape of the Saskatchewan classroom.
Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week has been celebrated annually since 1988.聽 This year鈥檚 proclamation was requested by the Saskatchewan Association of School Councils.
