The Sunrise Health Region is running in the black.
That was the good news the Board of Directors heard at their regular monthly meeting Sept. 30, after not having meetings over the summer (July and August).
The Region鈥檚 2015-16 Operating Expenses are less than Operating Revenues by 1,409,166 (0.2 per cent) up to and including July 31, 2015.
That said there are still areas of concern, in particular sick-time and overtime for staff which is running over budget, said President and CEO Suann Laurent.
Board member Dave Schappert said the results are certainly on the right track.
鈥淚t鈥檚 really great to see this kind of picture,鈥� he said.
Laurent said it鈥檚 a case of keeping on top of the numbers.
鈥淲e鈥檙e keeping everyone managing to the line,鈥� she said, adding 鈥溾�� it looked like we鈥檙e going to be balanced (for the year) based on our plan, and that鈥檚 what we plan on delivering.鈥�
