The City of Yorkton tweaked its Snowmobile Bylaw Monday.
The Yorkton Sno-Riders Club has contacted the City informing they would 鈥渘ot be grooming the trail from Grain Miller鈥檚 Road to York Road, north of Gladstone Avenue nor maintaining the indicated unloading area,鈥� explained City Clerk Kathie Ritchie at the regular meeting of Yorkton Council.
As a result the Club requested that part of the trail system be removed from the Snowmobile Route Map.
Ritchie added, it has also come to our attention that the Best Western Inn on Kelsey Bay has had a name change to the Parkland Inn and this that has also been corrected on the map.
鈥淚t is desirable to correct the map at this time as the Provincial Snowmobile Festival will be held in Yorkton on February 27th 鈥� March 1, 2015 and the map will be referenced during that time,鈥� detailed a report circulated to Council.
Council passed all three readings of the amendment Monday.
