The SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival is proud to announce over 65 free shows during the 10 day festival, June 22nd to July 1st, 2018. Included in today鈥檚 announcement is the complete Nutrien Free Stage at Kiwanis Park North lineup, the restaurant series (6Twelve in the Sheraton Cavalier, Drift Sidewalk Caf茅 and Vista Lounge, 2nd Avenue Grill, The James Hotel, Finn鈥檚 Irish Pub in the Parktown), the Bessborough鈥檚 After Dark series, and pop-up shows sponsored by DTN YXE. The free lineup is heavily local, and includes Saskatchewan鈥檚 own Jack Semple, Denise Valle, Parab Poet & the Hip Hop Hippies, The Steadies, Tatrina Tai, Rugged Little Thing, and many more in addition to national and international talent such as New York鈥檚 Red Baraat and Toronto鈥檚 The Slocan Ramblers. Artistic Director, Kevin Tobin said, 鈥淎s exciting as big shows like The Flaming Lips, Tom Cochrane, Ben Harper & Charlie Musselwhite, City and Colour, and Dee Dee Bridgewater are, the many free shows featuring musical gems such as BC Read, Oral Fuentes Reggae Band, Gillian Snider, Gerard Weber Quintet, Heidi Munro & the Real Groovy Band and hundreds more local musicians, showcase the tremendous talent we have right here in Saskatchewan. Today鈥檚 announcement brings the total number of performances to over 130 in 23 venues鈥�.
