SaskPower is encouraging businesses to invest time and money into cutting back on energy costs.
Representatives from SaskPower spoke at a Yorkton Chamber of Commerce (YCC) luncheon on Oct. 17. The event was attended by a small handful of business owners and YCC members.
鈥淭his is a good turnout for a local chamber,鈥� said Pat Parrott, a SaskPower consultant and speaker at the luncheon. 鈥淲e鈥檝e done chambers across the province [and] maybe this is about the average size, so it鈥檚 good to see.鈥�
Parrott discussed the expansion of SaskPower services during the lunch. He had a PowerPoint presentation prepared, but technically difficulties required him to perform an analog presentation.
鈥淭he need for more power is growing,鈥� he said. 鈥淲e peak in the winter.鈥�
Parrott highlighted offerings from the Efficiency Programs, which include rebates on refrigeration devices and discounts on lighting.
鈥淸They鈥檙e] common sense measures to help you save money on your power bill,鈥� he said. 鈥淒rive some cost out of [your] business.鈥�
