Recently the Sunrise Health Region Children鈥檚 Therapy program relocated from Cornerstone Therapies in the Yorkton and District Nursing Home, to the Public Health Building at 150 Independent Street in Yorkton.
The move allows the Children鈥檚 Therapy program to have all services under one roof, including the expansion of a gym/multi-purpose room for programming. All phone and email contacts remain the same.
Children鈥檚 Therapy is a multi-service program including Autism Spectrum Disorder services, Early Childhood Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Language Pathology; as well as individual support services for families dealing with the challenges of a disability. Referrals to the program are accepted directly from parents, or from any health or community services provider (with parental consent). 鈥淭he relocation of these children鈥檚 services provides easier access and better flow for parents and their children,鈥� said Sandy Tokaruk, Vice President of Integrated Primary Health Services.

Other services, including health inspection, immunization, nutrition, child health services, community education, dental health education, podiatry and hearing clinics, continue to be located in the Public Health Building.
