Occupational Health and Safety Week proclaimed

The Government of Saskatchewan has proclaimed May 5-11 as North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week. Every year, Canada, the United States and Mexico observe NAOSH Week to promote workplace health and safety.

The Government of Saskatchewan has proclaimed May 5-11 as North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week.听 Every year, Canada, the United States and Mexico observe NAOSH Week to promote workplace health and safety.

鈥淣AOSH Week serves as an important reminder that we must continue to make health and safety a top priority every day,鈥 Labour Relations and Workplace Safety Minister Don Morgan said.

Luncheons are scheduled for May 6 in Regina and May 7 in Saskatoon.听 Both events will feature keynote speaker Paul Krismer, a positive psychology, engagement, happiness and safety expert.

A committee of representatives from the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering, Saskatchewan Safety Council, federal government, Workers鈥 Compensation Board, and Labour Relations and Workplace Safety work together to promote and co-ordinate activities and events across Saskatchewan.
