Everyone鈥檚 favourite fundraiser returns Thursday, (Aug. 8 for) the 17th annual Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day.

On this day, Dairy Queens across the province will donate 100 per cent of net proceeds from each Blizzard Treat sold to Jim Pattison Children鈥檚 Hospital Foundation 鈥� the only Saskatchewan member of Children鈥檚 Miracle Network Hospitals.

鈥淭his important day means so much to us at Dairy Queen, but also for kids in hospital,鈥� said Saskatchewan franchisee Sandra Hertez. 鈥淪imply by enjoying your favourite Blizzard Treat, you鈥檙e going to make a big difference for kids who need better health care available in Saskatchewan. We are happy to contribute to this cause that means so much to families with a sick child.鈥� 鈥淲e invite the entire province of Saskatchewan to help miracles happen on August 8 by purchasing a Blizzard Treat and help our kids who need it,鈥� said Sash Broda, Manager, Development & Engagement at Jim Pattison Children鈥檚 Hospital Foundation. 鈥淪askatchewan鈥檚 first-ever dedicated maternal and children鈥檚 hospital will open its doors this fall and it鈥檚 the perfect time to get involved with this important cause. With the support from our amazing partners like Dairy Queen and their customers, our kids can have access to the best care right here at home.鈥�

Since the partnership between Dairy Queen and Children鈥檚 Miracle Network began in 1984, Dairy Queen has become a top corporate contributor with $135 million raised to-date in support of sick and injured children across North America. In Saskatchewan alone last year, $241,505 was raised across 43 locations.
