An armed robbery that resulted in the lockdown of the Kelliher School last week is still unsolved.
On October 1, a lone, masked gunman entered the financial institution on 2nd Avenue in the village approximately an hour east of Yorkton demanding money. He fled the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Nobody was injured during the incident.
As a precaution police advised the school be placed in hold and secure mode, a state in which the external doors are locked, but regular activities continue inside. The hold and secure was lifted after approximately three hours.
The suspect was described as fair-skinned and between 5-foot-six and 5-foot-10, wearing a 鈥淩ider green鈥� bunny hug and baseball cap, as well as, a plaid jacket and jeans. The mask was a black bandana with white markings on it.
Police continue to investigate, but would not divulge whether they have any suspects in mind.
