The 26th edition of the Saskatchewan Country Music Association Awards will be remembered as the year of Jessica Moskaluke.
Following-up on a 2014 CCMA Female Artist of the Year Award, the Langenburg product walked away with the Fan鈥檚 Choice Entertainer of the Year, People鈥檚 Choice and Female Vocalist of the Year awards Sunday evening at the Gallagher Centre in Yorkton.
The Entertainer of the year Award was special for Moskaluke.
鈥淭his is incredible. This is one award I always wanted to just be nominated for,鈥� she said.
It was also a chance to say thank you to Doug Riley, Moskaluke鈥檚 vocal coach.
鈥淭hank you so much for encouraging me right from day one,鈥� she said.
Moskaluke also captured Video of the Year for 鈥淯sed,鈥� Album of the Year for Light Up the Night and Single of the Year for 鈥淐heap Wine and Cigarettes.鈥�
In accepting the Single of the Year Moskaluke said music is only made if there are fans to listen.
鈥淚 could not have released the song without you.鈥�
The string of awards and Moskaluke鈥檚 national success have had her on a near constant musical high.
鈥淭he past couple of years have been the wildest ride I could ever have imagined,鈥� she told the awards audience.
But Moskaluke said her roots are still here in Saskatchewan.
鈥淚鈥檓 so incredibly proud of where I came from,鈥� she said, adding Yorkton is practically like being in Langenburg. 鈥溾�� It鈥檚 so close to home. It feels like a hometown show.鈥�
Moskaluke said it is always great to come back to Saskatchewan and Langenburg.
鈥淚 love coming home, seeing my family, my dog, my house,鈥� she said. 鈥淭here鈥檚 no place like home.鈥�
When accepting the Video of the Year Award, Moskaluke said it was great to be selected at home.
鈥淭hank you for recognizing me in my home province,鈥� she said.
Moskaluke said the SCMAs are like being with family.
鈥淚 really grew up with all these people,鈥� she said.

Other local finalists were; Yorkton鈥檚 Jackie Guy was a finalist for the Rising Star Award, Samara Yung was up for Video of the Year for 鈥楽tone鈥�, Steve Gibson was a finalist for All Star Band (guitar), Ronda Yung for Manager of the Year, Freedom Sound in Yorkton for Recording Studio of the Year.
