Corey Werner, of Core Real Estate presented a cheque for $2,800 to Ross Fisher, Executive Director of The Health Foundation. The donation is part of the campaign to demonstrate to the government that there is a very broad base of support throughout the region for a new regional hospital.
"We are really pleased to support planning for a new hospital," said Mr. Werner; "it is just the right thing to do. A new hospital will be very important to our region as it will help us attract new people to work in our businesses, and it fits right in with the growth of our region and the new investment we are seeing in this area."
"More than that," Mr. Werner continued, "a new hospital will provide a better environment for our patients and for the staff at the hospital. It will also make it easier to attract new doctors and other medical specialists that we need."
"This is a terrific donation, I appreciate when someone like Corey calls to say that we are doing a good job and that what we are working on is important to the community, and they would like to help," said Mr. Fisher.
Core Real Estate donated $200 from every sale that was made over a two month period. "We thought this was a good way to make the donation," said Mr. Werner, "our agents were talking to clients over the two month period raising awareness about the new hospital."
