Lori Wasyliw, President of the Canora Hospital Auxiliary, presented a cheque for $3,000 to Ross Fisher of The Health Foundation. The donation is in support of the fundraising campaign for new digital mammography equipment.
鈥淭his was a very easy decision for our Auxiliary,鈥 said Mrs. Wasyliw, 鈥渨e have had members of our Auxiliary with breast cancer and many of us have had family that have had to deal with breast cancer. We know how important this equipment is and how important early detection is so we are very supportive of The Health Foundation raising funds to ensure we have the best equipment possible for the breast cancer screening program at the Yorkton Regional Hospital.鈥
鈥淲e are very grateful for the work the Canora Hospital Auxiliary does and very much appreciate this donation. We need the support of the entire region to raise this money and get the new equipment in place right away,鈥 said Ross Fisher, Executive Director of The Health Foundation.
