OnÌýMay 26, 2019 shortly after 7:30 p.m.,ÌýBlack Lake RCMP officers responded to a complaint of a canoeist who fell into a body of water located approximately 50 kms north of Points North, SK. When officers arrived at the scene they located an adult male who had been inÌýa canoe, along with another adult male, whenÌýthe canoe overturned.ÌýOfficers immediately began searching the shoreline looking for the missing canoeist and soon located the body of a deceased adult male.

The deceased's next of kin have been notified of the death of their family member and the name will not be released. The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
