Over 115 nominations have been received for the Yorkton Chamber of Commerce 2016 Celebrate Success Business Awards.
Mike Popowich, Chair of the Celebrate Success Committee is pleased with the number of nominations. 鈥淭he Chamber appreciates everyone who took the time to nominate a business or organization and to the businesses which showed the initiative to nominate themselves,鈥� he said. 鈥淭he Awards are an ideal time for businesses to be recognized for their achievements and contributions to the community.鈥�
There are 10 categories for Businesses. In addition, the Community Merit category is for not-for-profit organizations and events. 鈥淭his category enables the community to recognize those organizations which contribute to the overall quality of life and economy of the community,鈥� explained Popowich. 聽
Now that the Nomination Packages have been submitted, Juanita Polegi, Executive Director indicated the judging process will begin. 鈥淎n independent panel of seven judges will be convened to review the nominations and select the Award recipients,鈥� she said. 鈥淎 luncheon announcing the finalists will be held Wednesday March 23 at St. Gerard鈥檚 Parish Hall.鈥�
