Once again Parkland Writers Alliance along with Yorkton Public Library and Yorkton This Week, sponsored the writing contest "Pen to Page." This contest was open to any and all inspiring writers.

The Habitat for Humanity colour run kicked off Sunday morning with a huge contingent of runners. Over $10 000 was raised.

It was the shirt of many colours as Big Brothers Big Sisters showed people how to do swingin' 60s rainbow shirts.

The number of visitors at Duck Mountain Provincial Park were up this summer, and overall, it was a 鈥渧ery enjoyable summer,鈥� according to Greg Podovinnikoff, park manager.

Yorkton MLA Greg Ottenbreit, too, could be seen putting in some mileage in support for cancer initiatives at the Yorkton Regional High School's Terry Fox Run this Sunday.

This group of runners held a uniform formation as they ran in support of the Terry Fox Run.

The annual Terry Fox Run was held at Yorkton Regional High School on Sunday, and the weather couldn't have been better. Not too hot and not too cold, many people showed up to both run and walk in support of cancer research.
