Renowned international horsemanship clinician Glenn Stewart is still hard at work on his ranch in Baldonnel, following his passion.
With more than 30 years of horse experience, Stewart conducts clinics worldwide and offers Horsemanship Camps varying in length from four days up to a month at his home The Horse Ranch.
With COVID-19 ever present in our new normal, Stewart says he鈥檚 focused much more on the digital and publishes training videos to members on the ranch鈥檚 private Facebook group.
鈥淲hen COVID hit and everything shut down, we finally got to some stuff that we鈥檝e been talking about forever, but just never seem to have time for,鈥 said Stewart. 鈥淪o we stayed home and got our online courses going, the stages that we teach people.鈥
The ranch offers natural horsemanship training in ten stages, a methodology that teaches riders to build relationships with horses through understanding their psychology and nature.
Stewart says members have found the videos invaluable.
鈥淭hey can do it with online lessons, so they can do it at home,鈥 said Stewart. 鈥淚t鈥檚 been a real bonus.鈥
Roughly 100 to 200 people attend the ranch every year for training, including returning students.
Stewart says the ranch continues to promote a sense of community for those with the right attitude.
鈥淲e take on anybody with a good attitude,鈥 said Stewart. 鈥淚f they鈥檙e hungry and interested, it doesn鈥檛 matter if they鈥檝e had horse experience or not. Horse experience helps, but it鈥檚 not a dealbreaker at all.鈥
